Research areas: Microbiology (specifically pathogenic microbiology)

Research interests:
 My scientific training is in bacterial pathogenesis and understanding how bacterial virulence factors contribute to disease. Specifically my research interests focus on bacterial toxins and their mode of action (i.e., how they work). Having previously worked at the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the field of bacterial vaccines another research interest of mine is in the development of vaccines against various infectious agents.
